It was December 12th, 2010 when Satoshi Nakamoto wrote his last message and handed over the reins of the Bitcoin project to the community. Since that day, nothing has been heard from him.

We all (especially us Italians and Laszlo Hanyecz) know it: pizza is priceless.
On May 22, 2010, the first recorded purchase in history made with Bitcoin, by Laszlo Hanyecz, took place: 10,000 bitcoins were offered in exchange for two pizzas. We should all be grateful to him, as he made Satoshi Nakamoto's project a reality. And it doesn't matter how much BTC has increased in value since then, because that's what it was born for, and we should all be a little more aware of it.

The dawn of the revolution. The block zero, the Genesis Block, was the first block mined by Satoshi Nakamoto that served as the foundation for the creation of all subsequent blocks of the Blockchain. It was January 3rd, 2009, and we pay homage to it in this way.
